Some of my earliest memories are with a book in my hand, and today, I still love to read stories of all kinds, from children’s poetry to adult suspense novels. Before my love of reading turned into a love of writing, I took many turns in my life, some of which were an accountant, a retail clerk, and a volunteer worker for abused women. When my husband and I started our family, I became a stay-at-home mom to two boys. It was then, in a few solitary moments, I put a pencil in my hand and discovered a love of writing. Now, I spend my mornings in Bucks County, PA creating stories of my own with my writing partner by my side, a sleepy greyhound. Quiet things inspire me: a word, a child’s desire, a tug in my heart. Afternoons and evenings are for family, friends, and lots of daydreaming.
My son and I snuck into an old mansion to take this picture.
It smelled of wood and paper and time past.
